Tim Hortons FINALLY accepts debit cards.

To all you coffee drinkers out there - they did it!

Tim Hortons has finally surrendered! Effective immediately Tim Hortons will be accepting Interac debit cards as a new payment option across Canada. Just three years ago, the company introduced the option to accept MasterCard credit cards and also the ability to use a prepaid gift card as alternatives to using cash. Depending on the customers’ preferences, ‘Timmy’s’ felt that these alternatives would be a great asset for the company. Although these methods of payment were effective, Tim Hortons knew they needed to offer more. With the thought of allowing debit card processing, also came the thought that transactions could slow down service. Tim Hortons chief operations officer Roland Walton stated in a release that the new approach Tim Horton’s was taking will give Canadians the ease of speed and convenience. The company said it will accept debit cards at about 90 percent of its 3,000 locations across the country, covering locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador.

I believe the acceptance of debit cards in Tim Horton’s will bring positive feedback to the company, and will be extremely effective among consumers. Tim Horton’s sales are sure to rise, due to the response of the customers’ needs and wants. Customer focus is the number one aspect a successful company will adhere to, when making changes in its retail advancements. This will ensure positive rapport is being maintained, therefore creating growth and opportunity for future sales.

Learn How to Tie a Tie =)

Ever wondered how to properly tie a tie?
So I know you're all probably wondering..."Why does she even need to know? She's a girl?"
Well due to my part-time job as a banquet server at a private golf club, I am required to wear a tie during special events, i.e. Weddings.
I realized there was nothing more annoying than going into work with an untied tie, and not one guy or girl were able to tie it for me.
So, I finally gave in and decided I would learn for myself!

Attached below is a video and step by step directions on how to perfectly tie a 'Half Windsor Knot'.

Check it out! It's easier than you think and you never know...your tie skills may come in handy one day!
ENJOY !!

Welcome to my blog !

Welcome to ksquared.

Hello fellow bloggers and classmates!

Ah yes, the pressure of my first blog. I never thought blogging would be such a nuisance, but I mean, when you're constantly chatting away on Facebook, Tweeting, Texting, BBMing, E-mailing or even discussing the latest news with a friend or colleague...what ELSE can you possibly talk about?
Giving that question much thought, I realized, you know what...I can talk about absolutely ANYTHING I want! Literally.
I can talk about my favourite sports, my favourite songs, my dogs, my WONDERFUL PR classmates or even something as simple as: Why my favourite colour is purple?

Well folks, I've decided this whole "blogging thing" is going to be my next personal goal. I want to become a blogging expert. I want to be able to express and share with you my feelings/emotions, thoughts, stories, creative ideas, and anything that really comes to mind. My goal is to engage you in my blogs, and allow you to experience my journey in becoming a blogging guru. I believe this will be a great personal challenge for myself and will allow me the opportunity to get in the habit of continuous writing.

On that note, I want to welcome you all to my blog and I hope that I'm able to entertain and educate you through my stories, pictures and videos that will soon follow.
